MARKET REPORT – September 9, 2024

MARKET REPORT – September 9, 2024

Fall keeps creeping in.  We have started carrying a small amount of honeynut squash from Weiser Farms.

We are hoping to have a slightly better amount of jimmy nardello peppers this week for those who have been trying to get them weekly.

Weiser has started to have a few more peppers available as well.

Terry Ranch has begun her Quince season for anyone looking to poach some or make membrillo.

Figs are getting tight.  There is a new fly that there is no deterrent for that kills the fruit before it can finish ripening.  We may have to send half cases to make sure everyone is getting some.

IFG grapes at Murray will tighten up more this week.  Scott will have product but some is seeded varieties.

Murray Farms has started with some pomegranate this week too.

You still have plenty of time on peaches.  Regier Farms will have at least 2 more weeks at the market with the last week being much lighter before they take a short break.  After they finish we will pick up the slack from Tenerelli who will still have another month left.
