General Information
They are a cucurbit (of the melon family, the same as pumpkin and melons). They are the same genus, but a different species than our known cucumber. The original seed is native to Central America, and has latin origins. The outside striping is similar to the Rattlesnake variety of the watermelon.
They are drought resistant and will be available for the summer and late fall season mid-June – October.
