Pears at a Farmer's Market

MARKET REPORT – October 6, 2024

Again Warren Pears from Frog Hollow Farms have arrived and are ready for your menu.  We also brought in some of their pomegranates as well.

Garcia Farms has a little fuyu persimmon and should be ripe next week

Briar Patch Farms will return Wednesday with first pick of their Fuyu persimmons with haychia to follow shortly.  We will wait at least a week before stocking to ensure we have ripe fruit for everyone.

We will have red gem back this coming week from the garden of and a little more salanova than we had last week.  They also have Castelfranco, escarole, and hinona kabu turnips have returned.

Weiser Farms mix carrots are coming back.  They were thin on Wednesday, but expect them to size up on the next week.  They also had a little red kuri squash on the table, but what I saw was very small.

We switched the melon mix over to Munak Ranch for the last week or so they will be good and available.

Lemon cucumbers are wrapping up and will be in limited supply.

Yellow Peaches have crashed and Tenerelli has finished their season.  Scott may have some next week, but they will be of low quality.  If you need any stone fruit please preorder as we may very well stop stocking everything this coming week.

Girl and Dug Cherry tomatoes will be gapping for about 2 more weeks according to the farm.  We can also expect iceplant to return from them in the same time frame.
