MARKET REPORT – September 25, 2023

MARKET REPORT – September 25, 2023

Summer is about to come to a close.  This past week was Tenerelli Orchards final week with peaches.  We have some left, but expect them to be gone by Wednesday or Thursday.

Melons have another week or 2, but expect to only find 3 types in the boxes.

In 2 weeks we should expect to have Frog Hollow Warren Pears and maybe some of their Pomegranates too.

Persimmons are still a month away.

Next week we will see more winter squashes like delicata showing up as well as the beginning of Rocky Canyons honeynut squash.  Weisers this past week was very small (898 size).

Jimmy Nardellos are becoming a bit more scarce as the weather cools down as well, so please plan ahead.

I wish I could say figs were plentiful at the market, but its quite tight.  Polito didn’t have a good season and may have a small amount this week, but that could be the end of it.  Murray didn’t even have misisons this past week.  Garcia farms just started their season, but its much shorter than the others.
