The Shinsei is a medium sized, round, greenish-yellow fruit with a fine grain, white flesh that is very sweet, scented, crisp and juicy.

Resembles Golden Delicious but harder. Medium size, round, greenish yellow fruit. Firm, fine grained white flesh. Very sweet, scented, crisp & juicy.
History
Originated in Japan at the Aomori Exp. Station in 1930. The Shinsei apple was named in 1948. The Shinsei is a cross of a Golden Delicious and an Early McIntosh.
